When are injectors bad ?

I mean how do you tell ?
Most diesels I have ever messed with > Cats,Detroit,Cummins,Rolls Royces...most large industrial engines....
they all miss just like a bad sparkplug / dead cylinder and it is noticeable !
I see alot of threads on here where people are taking trucks to dealer and are being told they have Bad Injectors where their trucks have other issues But are RUNNING FINE ?? Like this guy > he's having tranny problems but dealer is saying bad sticks ?

Why won't tsmn shift after first starting?

so what gives ???

I hear what your saying and have asked the same thing myself. I think the dealers just toss out the whole "its the injectors" thing like its candy cause its easy to do and most people have no other choice but to pony up the $.

In most cases Im sure the issues are somewhat injector related, but can be more easily solved cheaper ways, but the easiest thing to do is replace injectors and call it good
