Coughing, sneezing, burping sound

Hi everyone,

I have a 03 6.0 with the torque-shift auto. I run the 65 hp flash from my diablo predator. I have replaced all injectors less than 10k ago and has been running very good. Recently I have heard a coughing, sneezing, burping sound coming from on top of the motor which causes it to miss. I have read a bunch of threads on here, so I unhooked the EGR valve and drove it. Problem goes away. So I assume that i need to clean the EGR valve and put back in. Also I am not kicking any codes. I have the ablilty to run real time data. Any help would be great.

With this problem I am considering a EGR delete kit and clean the turbo. My only worry with the EGR delete is that I live in the Tree Hugging, Nancy Pelosi loving state of CA. What potential problems would I run into with the delete kit when they make us start smogging diesels????

Thanks in advance for any help,

Sean

Look into the Bulletproof EGR Cooler. An upgraded version, with a lifetime warranty I believe. For a truck in CA, this would be the route to go.

Cheers
