oil pressure regulator

Have a question about the oil pressure regulator? does it needs to be drain every so often ? thanks appreciate any imput.... 05-350-6.0 couples of days ago changed the oil and drained and now I have a whining sound going on not sure if is related to it ?...

what type of oil you put in it? never heard of having to drain the regulator for the oil...is the whine only under load?

Using the t6 and the truck starts good in cold mornings and runs good overall, but the new sound is like a vacuum leak of sort did put a new degas bottle but no new cap , but no leaking anywhere the only oil leak was a slow leak by the oil pressure regulator housing....
