2006 6.0L low boost???

sorry for the newbe question but somthing i noticed. I originally borrowed a friends 2006 F250 with a 6.0. while i was driving it i noticed that the boost under full throttle read 25-27 PSI. i liked his truck so much i decided to get my own. i bought a 2006 F250 king ranch and the first thing i noticed is the boost gauge NEVER goes above 16 PSI. i installed a EDGE Attitude controller and even on the EXTREME setting it still never goes above 16. why is there such a big difference? is there somthing wrong with the truck. by the way my friends truck was a job 1 while mine is a job 2 if that makes any difference. thank you for any help you can offer.

Are the power gains there? If so you have a guage problem I would say. My friend has the edge with attitude and he pulls around 38 psi boost. his is an 04'. Do you have a aftermarket intake? that would cut it back also if its still stock. Might not be able to get enough air.

stock boost should go to roughly 27 PSI on an 06....

I would wonder if you dont have a gauge prob though, does your truck go as good as your buddies?? If it does, its not the turbo, its the gauge...

If it is a turbo problem, it could be a Y pipe leak, it could be a boost leak, or a stuck turbo...
