First off you do not have enough oil pressure so yea ya need to do the air test of the oil system. Now in a pinch you can take one of those portable air tanks change out the hose to one about 6 feet long with a air quick disconnect on the free end. With a assistant and a cheap air blower nozzle with the rubber tip you can charge the oil gallery with air from the tank. You can use one of the cheap little d/c tire inflater pumps to charge the tank. I have tried just useing the little d/c air pump to charge directly but they make so much noise ya can't hear the leak. As for the threads you could go by a ford shop and ask the mechanics if they have an old they are throwing away and cut the threads off the sensor and braze or weld the threads to a regular male air chuck fitting. The threads are not standard or metric on that sensor.
