2006 F250 Puking?
I have an 06 f250, completely stock. Haven't ran the hypertech but maybe 600 miles, and haven't had it loaded up for about 4,000 miles since been taking it in to the dealer for maintenance, etc (easier to leave it off until all bugs get worked out). Anyways, several times driving, I have thought I've heard puking, but never realy known if it was. Today I looked at the overflow and it's definitely puked out around the cap before (has that cruddy looking foam around the overflow cap).
It's an O6, has the revised lower minimum mark on the cap. Level is right at the level to run on the cap. Is this something I should take it in for? It's never gotten hot. How can you really tell from in the cab if it's puking? Thanks, Chad |

I couldn't tell from inside the cab when mine was spewing coolant. Mine had a turbo problem causing it though, too much boost.

Sometimes you can smell the coolant on the inside if it pukes alot. But, I would take it in and have them check it out since all the fluid levels are good.

I will take it in. I ran the hypertech from 1000 to 1600 miles. After that, back to stock, and removed cables/reset computer. Now at 6800 miles. So long after. This puking type thing as far as I can tell started maybe 800 miles ago? I'll take it in...
Thanks, Chad |

You will notice fluid on the bottom side of the hood where the bottle is.Mine only leaked under high boost though. It started to get so bad I noticed it in my drivers wheel well and all over my track arm also some on out side of fender.I first thought it was brake fluid trying to quikly remove it from my paint but after lookin in to it a little closer noticed it was coolant. So took it to a helpfull dealer and they replaced the heads that were warped and the gaskets.Alls good now.when this happened my rig only had 4000 miles on it.So don't feel alone.Theres been alot of talk about this in alot of threads.

Yeah, pretty much anytime you really get in it, you have a chance to make it puke if it is going to. Specially if you are still running a stock configuration.

Well, taking it in just got put off a few days. Truck got broken into at home last night, rear slider busted...so getting new rear glass today. And my three week old work laptop was missing, too. But doesn't it make you wonder when...it happened between 5 and 6am (I know, cause fiance left house at 5am for a gym appointment), then when she got home, it was busted...then I have a newspaper, neighbors on my left have paper, and neighbors on my right are complaining no paper got delivered...
HMM... I think I'm going to go meet the paper boy in the morning. |
