cracked exhaust

the other night i was out screwing around with some buddies and i somehow managed to put a huge crack in my exhaust right before the pipe gets to the muffler. i was wondering if it would cause any damage if i left it for a few weeks until i am able to afford a whole new system or would it be better to get it fixed asap?

There wouldnt be any problem if you left it like that. You could also just cut everything off at the crack if you want and have a good sounding truck.

By the way what were you doing to crack the exhaust??? I thought I was the only one that broke things like that. But I live life by the motto drive it like you stole it.
