FICM and number 3 injector shorted out on my truck. Probable cause was plug closest to the firewall that plugs into the FICM was broken and tech believes caused the short. Now they are saying the plastic plug can not be bought from Ford and I needed a new wiring harness (another $700) ? Anyone know of a source for the plug only (plastic housing) My truck has the duel alternators if that matters. Anyone have an old wiring harness that is no good lying around to rob parts from?

See if you can get a junk yard to sell you one, just be shure and look over the harness and make shure the plugs are good. If necessary you can cut off the good end leave yourself about a 6 in. pig tail and solder it to your harness.

I have yet to find anyone who sells just the replacement plug-in.
