Pukeing

Truck went into ford monday, called today and was told they took off the EGR cooler and tested it , check out ok. now they have to tae the motor out to replace the head gasket. I then asked if I was to give them the stronger head bolts would they be able to install them. I was told that the ford head bolts are upgrades from the factory installed ones that failed. Is this True? There is only 34,788 miles on the truck.

so it pays to have the ARP studs installed . Thanks for the heads up. I have a feeling that they will say the warranty will be voided. will see.

I have seen that before.Usually best way to do them is pull the cab off.I've seen them go when the cabis left on.You need some room to torque those studs.
