Fan Shroud/Stator

I am starting to take my engine apart, I am now a member of the blown head gasket club , now I will have studs, EGR delete etc. My question is, what, if any part of the shroud/stator is really not needed?

And my question would be WHY do you ask? Are you intent on breaking any part of it during the repair?

no, not intending to break anything just thought if some part was not needed I would leave it off. I am not familiar with the stator. It wouldn't be the first time that something was engineered and installed but really did not provide any functionality.
