6.0 died

we have an 05 6.0 here at work and when driving it home from getting new tires on it almost 2 miles from the store the truck wouldnt go over 30 mph and eventually died...it started back up and went about another 30 feet and died again and now we have absolutly no battery power deader than a doornail im kinda lost...gonna check battery connections here in a bit but just wanted some more input

Alternator . Does it feel like its an electrical failure, or something like a fuel problem?

i actually wasnt in it when it happened so that i couldnt tell ya but it seems electrical from what they are telling me...lol they said get on that org thing your always on and figure this out haha

I wonder if the batts are dead because they cranked it for so long, or if they were dead when it died

I would start by replacing the batteries, these trucks have to have a certain Voltage to run correctly
If that doesnt work you can always take them back

well we have batterys here im a jd dealer so we are in the process of replacing them right now i will post back up after that gets done thanks guys

update is new batterys and it fired up but runs like crap shakes really bad and the water in fuel light came on so next is fuel filters and go from there

Good news. I would check t be sure your alt is charging anyway, for insurance purposes if nothing else
