6.0 blown head gaskets..????? please read
My 2006 is currently at the ford dealership with the cab off waiting for a ford inspector to "ok" the work under warantee. I have the extra extended warantee to 200,000 miles. The truck has never had programmer, exhaust or anything. Is there any reason why the warantee want cover the work???
The truck has 133,000 miles on it so i still have 67,000 miles warantee on it. The mechanic at the dealership is gonna install the ARP studs for me as i've already took them to him. He suggests to delete the EGR also and the 6.0 should be bulletproof but it will void my warantee. My question is would you guys delete the egr or ride the warantee out and do the egr later if problems happen.... Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! |

get rid of it! slap a new oil cooler in it while your already that far, studs and a FULL delete and your golden! I made the mistake of buying an ede delete, but call adam down at FCDP there kit is favored over most!

That's a tough one... delete the EGR and void the warranty, or keep the EGR and risk the cooler blowing up.

Run it stock until your warranty is completely expired. You've aleady paid for the warranty, use it. Just my two cents FWIW.

i would ride out the warranty, paid over 2k for it, use it and after it expires delete away
