Engine Noise?

Hey guys, I'm starting to here a ticking noise in my truck. I just replaced the turbo a little over a week ago and the noise started around 2-3 days later. It is a ticking/knocking noise and only does it in 1st through 3rd gear and between 1,000-1,800 rpm's. I can't tell if it is a rattle noise because something is loose and vibrating or if it is internal noise. It is coming from the middle and it sounds like it is right in front of the firewall. I've checked all the clamps, etc. and everything seems tight. Haven't gotten to check the turbo mounting bolts yet because I haven't had the tools with me. Has anyone ever had or heard this kinda noise? Could it be the new turbo? All gauges are good, good oil pressure, not running hot (water or EGT) and good boost. The truck runs perfect and doesn't do it if you get on it pretty hard. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have found that it only makes the noise when you put the truck in drive. If you shift from drive to neutral or reverse, it goes away. Worse when cold. Have checked all clamps, heat shields, etc. and still can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks guys.

Check the EGR up-pipe.

Well, got my noise fixed today. Guess I won't be trading it off. Ended up being the "y" pipe clamp that connects to the inlet side of the turbo. I installed a new clamp and all is good.
