hard start

2003 6.0 97,000 miles
my truck starts very day right up first try no issues warm or cold. This has happened twice in the last two weeks. go to get fuel shut off truck fill up, get back in a it takes 4 cranks to start, never gets below 1/4 tank, the last time this happened I took to the Ford Dealer and checked out fine replaced the batteries as they were orginial. No CEL on.

Maybe a problem with the High Pressure Oil system. I was going to say look at the STC fitting in the HPOP but I don't think that a problem with the 03-04.

If your not getting a bunch of white smoke when turning over, then it is likely your injectors aren't firing, indicating possible HPOP issues.
