04 6.0 question

ok i have 04 6.0 wiht xcal3 set at 70 aggressive tow egr block plate it pukes sometimes bought a fifth wheel went to pick it up got home degas bottle puked a lot took it to ford and they think its the head gaskets but if it was wouldnt i have oil in the degas bottle or intifreeze in the oil or antifreeze coming out the exaust pulled egr not wet has anyone had a block off plate fail thinking of pulling mine out to check it also has the ccv mod put the truck back to stock drove a hundred miles did not puke it didnt really puke till i put a load on it with the tune at all is there a more specific thing to check for head gaskets i have a scanner still learning though no tea kettle whistle

No you don't have to have oil or water mixing. Sometime it happens, What happens here is that the pressure builds up and blows/relieves it into the cooling passages.

Just curious….what size tires are on your truck? What gear does your truck have and what size 5th wheel are we talking….do you know the weight?

its 30ft 8800 lbs and 285 75 16 not sure about the gears

The reason I ask is with aprox. 17,000 GVW....maybe a little more, with 285/75/16 and a 3.73 gear would cause some strain with towing. I don't know if your trip was on flat grade or hill grade. Most folks who tow do so with the 4.10. 4.30 or even lower...

Not to say this is what is wrong with your truck...more so that I was just curious. This site has a lot of folks with a lot of knowledge to help you....

I hope what ever is wrong with your truck...you can get it fixed.
