Missing, rough idle, low power.Help!!

Hello again I have a 2004 f-350sd 4x4 western hauler, with 2003 international 6.0 the other day while pulling up to stop light I felt it missing and it was sluggish ,it wasn't smoking, it was just chuging along with no power I rented a codescout 2500 code reader ,it wouldn,t tell me much other than misfire and EGR ? would this b trying to tell me the EGR is bad and if so why wouldn't i get an engine light for something like that. Well anyway I would be very gratefull for any help because i earn i living with this truck and can't afford having it fall apart on me Thanks raffterman

Shot in the dark here, could this be anything to do with the wiring harness
problems the latter 03 / 04's had problems with ? Bump to help keep this afloat..

Thats an idea ,I pulled the alernator off to have it rebuilt and when I do that I pile about 4 pillows ,2 on the EGR area and 2 on the schroud and bull up on the belt to slip it off the pulley. I might have snapped something or pulled something out when I did that. I'll check it out . thanks

I'm not having any luck wiggiling wires , they all seem to be conected . I had an injector go bad a year ago, lucky me it was number 7 ,it was missing like it is now but it smoked like a mother. This time no smoke and missing , I remember the dealer telling me that not only #7 was dead but 3&5 were weak. The no smoke thing as me very puzzled ,I hope someone that has had this same problem reads this. thanks
