Wierd Spot for Oil....

Just got done with a 1400 mile trip from Georgia to Virginia and back. I got home and was checking things out and noticed oil on the hood of my truck (underneath) right above the turbo. Everything still seems fine and didn't hiccup the entire trip, but I'm still concerned.

Anyone had similar problems?

where ever the oil came from it had to been under pressure and being sprayed. As it is on the underside of the hood. I would check around the turbo, maybe the pedastall maybe leaking, possible oil being sprayed out from a line going to the turbo that became loose. If the engine is running normal then you just need to find the leak and fix it.

sounds to me like like you must have the plastic cold side intercooler tube going into the intake ,if so thats where you oil film is coming from ,there is a updated tube with rubber ends made just to fix youre problem ,if its under warranty ,make them change it that will take care of it , even some of the tubes that werent plastic had that problerm if it didnt have the wide clamps on them, like i say there is a fix for that , on some 04 it was a bulletin

I’ve had a big oil stain in the same place on my truck for over a year now. I have oil blowing out of the rubber fittings on my intercooler. I had oil leaking out of my high pressure oil pump fittings...I still have another oil leak I can’t find. Welcome to the world of high pressure oil injectors.
