Turbo problems ?

Hello
I have F250 6.0 2003
When i start engine, the turbo do not spool up beafore i been driving som meters.
And when its cold like in Norway now, i start up engine, and let it run to get temp, but turbo do not spool up beafore after 1-2 minutes.
Is this normal, ore is it som problems whit a walve on the turbo ?
I also seem to have som problems whit the alternator, it sems that it do not chards so good when alternator get hot.
Is this enything that you guys know about ?

The turbo on the 6.0 is a variable vane turbo. The vanes in the exhaust housing can get rusted/coked up and will stick. That may be your problem.

To bad i diden clean the turbo inside when i did the EGR blocking on it
Then i have some more work to do
