I just got my truck back from the shop and now every once in a while at idle it will surge like someone stabbing the throttle. It idles about 700rpm and revs to about 1000 real fast and right back down. Any Idea? It was in the shop for a loss of pressure from the HPOP because of a damaged pipe and O-ring coming from the pump.
Have you had the oil changed recently? Mine will do this right after an oil change. If you did have the oil changed what kind did you use? If not it could be that you need to clean your EGR valve. Have you done this recently?
Likely has something to do with the HPOP repair. Not EGR. See if it levels out, maybe air in the pump if they took it off.
