Looking for FICM (2005)

Does anyone have or know of someone selling a FICM for a 2005..I had my truck towed to the shop to have a EGR Delete Kit put in, and I just received a call from the service manager stating that they pulled about 5 codes up, one being a cam sensor, and the others had to do with the FICM..

03-07 FICM's will work on your truck. There might be some for sale in the classifieds, ebay, or on some of the other diesel sites.

Snake, If I decide to go with a FICM not my year, will it have to be flashed?? Also, I have been looking online for them, and they are all over the place price wise..ranging from 500-1100

More than likely it'll have to be flashed. I think SWAMPS diesel is selling rebuilt FICM's for $350, and believe it or not, they apparently can be repaired via soldering.

Not sure what your soldering skills are, but I can probably point you towards a couple of places that have detailed the repair.

And I could have sworn I saw a 04 FICM for sale for $350 recently. Give me a few.....

Snake, thanks for the info..Well, the garage called and said the FICM was working properly..They had to replace a cam sensor..They also said the reason for not starting was bad fuel..Originally it went for a EGR Delete, because of the white smoke it was blowing....

I would find out what codes were set that made them think the FICM was going out...sometimes it takes a bit of time for the codes to re-set.

However -- a lot of things can cause FICM performance codes to set.

Could bad fuel or gelled fuel cause those codes
