6.0 starts but dies....
I am working on a 2003 6.0. To start with it came in with 3 bad injectors. I put a whole set in it and upon future testing found that one injector was cracked and burnt the top off a piston. So i pulled the head honed the cylinder and replaced the piston(didnt really want to do it the "cheap" way but its wat the guy wanted me to do). While it was apart i put a new oil cooler in it and new egr valve. Everything was put back together with new ford parts(new bolts, gaskets, orings the works). Went to start it up and it started and ran for a few minutes and died. I tested the IPR valve and found it was sticking so i replaced it. Started it again and it did the same thing so i replaced the ICP sensor too. Now it will start but has an extended crank time and if it idles too long it dies. Lube oil pressure is within range (on the dash gauge anyway). If the engine dies it has to sit for a while before it will restart. Anybody ran into this before or have any ideas?
