p0402 code
hey guys
i bought a 2006 6.0l with a turbo back exhaust and banks fresh air intake. i added a edge evolution and recently am getting a p0402 code. i took it to dealership after unplugging edge and they replaced egr. drove for a while ang p0402 code is coming again. is this the exhaust pressure sensor now or is this code common with the turboback exhaust? i have read a bit about deleting the egr all together is this a good idea for this truck. finally what is the manufatures take on turboback exhaust and warranty? thanks |

A code P0402 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
The DPFE (differential pressure) sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced There is a blockage in the EGR (most likely carbon buildup) The EGR valve is faulty The EGR valve may not be opening due to a lack of vaccuum Possible SolutionsWith a P0402, it is common for people to replace the EGR valve, only to have the problem return. The most likely solution is to replace the DPFE sensor. Check the voltage at the DPFE sensor both at idle and when the EGR is open Replace the DPFE sensor |
