Injector Help
Hey guys, I just finished an EGR cooler delete/oil cooler rebuild. In the teardown process I managed to be an idiot and break the plastic connector for 2 of the injectors on the passenger side. The actual injectors are fine but I need the connector. I have tried to purchase the connector, but apparently it is not sold. Does anyone have injectors they pulled out of the truck that they would be willing to part with. I will buy them even if the actual injector is trashed, as long as the plastic plug on the end is intact.

Did you break the end that goes into the head or the part that directly connects to the injector body? The end that is part of the injector is gonna be a bugger.

Unfortunately those connectors are not sold aftermarket, they are proprietary to FORD and they wanna sell the whole harness. $350.00 thank you very much. Your best bet is a junk yard, buy the harness and save the extra plugs for a rainy day. Cut the wires about half way their length and solder them to your harness. (Solder and shrink wrap) do not use the crimp connectors, they often don't make a good solid connection and can cause you problems.

If it is a Ford connector I am not too worried. I can call one of my Engineer buddies and they will hook me up with the worldwide connector group. However, I do not think it is a Ford connector. I think the connector is part of the international design. Siemens makes the entire injector. I have been trying to find out who makes the actual conenctor. Ford uses mostly molex connectors. I don't even need to cut and solder anything. I can simply pop the pins out of the old connector and snap them into the new one, if I could ever get a new one. This is starting to get a bit crazy trying to find these things.

Well I wish ya luck I have been trying to find a company that sells them for the last 3 years and haven't found anyone yet. I found a couple that were similar but after buying them they were not exactly the same and wouldn't plug in.
