Swaping a 03 6.0L for a 06 6.0L

I have a blown 6.0L motor in a 2003 f-550 cab & chassis. I have a line on a very low mileage complete engine from a 2006. What are the differences between the two engines and will this swap work??

Swap will definitely work and the only real differences are the turbo and the internal programming (depending on what strategy updates your 03 has).

well lets see, take the engine harness and the FICM from the 06 if ya can get yer hands on it,it will be a lot of help. If not ya will need to strip the wires out of the harness for the ICP sensor and routeit to the passenger side valve cover at front of motor. The 03 sensor is by the HPOP under the turbo.

Don't do it. Get yourself a good '03 engine to save yourself A LOT of headaches.
