Greetings all,
I have an '06 F250 6.0L. When I turn the key to start the truck (after allowing glow plugs to finish), it takes the truck turning over about 5-10 seconds before starting. This problem only happens when the truck hasn't run in a few hours. I have heard other F250s and they turn and crank right up- not mine. Help please. Thanks, Ryan |

Inductive heating flash from ford....it's the latest flash from Ford, helps your injectors preheat

...is that a "go to dealership" to get it done?

yes sir, tell them you want the latest reflash

Thank you, I will do that as soon as possible.

Is this covered under some sort of tech bulletin update? Or are they going to charge you for an hour labor to plug in a computer? Just curious, sounds like I could use this flash also.

Mine does this all the time, whether it's warm or not. What if you have custom tunes? I know you have to return it to stock before taking it in for the reflash but what about after you re-install your custom tune? Will the Ford reflash still help?

Update: I do not have any tunes on my truck, and YES, if you do you will need to return it to stock before taking it to FORD. I have the luxury of a good friend in the maintenance dept. at my local dealership and he said they do not normally ask, but if you do not return your tune to stock, FORD erases and reflashes your computer making your tuner useless. I ended up taking my truck in, and after $100 to run diagnostics on it the truck still has the problem. I did find out that my injector power or something to the matter is slowly going out and its a pricey replacement. God help me.

Scratch that idea then. I'll just deal with it. Thanks for the update
