6.0 oil filter problem

Has anyone had a problem with the oil filter cap blowing off the housing? This has happened twice in the last 2 months. Running Napa Gold (Wix) filters with new cap and o-ring included with filter.

Its probably that filter your using. Have you tried using motorcraft filters?

STAY AWAY from junk aftermarket filters, especially the one you describe. Now, you're going to have to fork out the $$$ to buy the OEM cap as well, the next time you change back to the OEM Motorcraft filter, unless you were smart enough to save the old cap.

Thanks for the replies. Have 9 trucks with 6.0 and have been running same filter in all the rest with no problems until now. Have only had this problem with this one truck. Ordered the OEM filters and caps today and will be changing back to Motorcraft.

Thanks
