Will not start
I have a friend that has an 05'. His "water in fuel" light came on and he drained both filters now he can't get the truck started back up. I told him to cycle the switch approx 12 times to get fuel back up to the lines/filters. he has not had any luck with it. Any ideas you would have would be appreciated.
I have a 7.3 and I am not familar with the 6.0 I told him to make sure he was getting fuel to the injectors/filter bowl. (I read somewhere that there was an air vent or something) is this correct? I told him to make sure the fuel reset was pushed in. He has 2 new batteries. |

The problem is there is no vent on the 6.0, it has to work its way thru the system. Which is why it takes so long. I liketo take the top off the filter up top untill it fills up then I cloose it. and continue the key cycles. Bye the way hold the key on for about 10 seconds each time. Unless something else has gone wrong it will eventually start and run rough for a little while untill all air gets worked out.
