did the first o3's not have copper washers on the injectors?
my buddy has an 03 and thought he heard tha they didnt use copper washers on the injectors. is this true?

I'm not entirely sure, but I thought all injectors have copper washers on them. Our old '94 Cummins N-14 has copper washers on them. Something has to seal out cylinder gas/pressure.

thats what i was thinking. he was thinking he heard they had teflon or something.

Yup everything from a 645 EMD(Electromotive Diesel) to a 1 cylinder (popping johnny) has copper/brass gasketts around the tip and seat into a copper/brass sleave in the head,has something to do with the quick heat transfer properties as well as being rather soft and malable as metals go.

Yea i did injectors on an 03 today and they all had brass washers on them bud...
