p2285 Injector Control Pressure sensor low circuit
light came on today. truck is reving real crazy when trying to drive. and idleing horrible. If you cruise with a steady throttle the truck revs up for half secound blows black smoke on a stock tune.
Ford said to start with the ICP sensor. What do you all think? Also where is the ICP sensor located? is it under the turbo on the high pressure pump cover? if so that sounds like a all night job tonight. if anyone has a write up or instructions on how to replace it that would be helpfull. Thanks |

thanks for the info. I got it changed and so far it fixed the problem. No code and drove it for about 15 miles last night. I also cleaned my EGR valve one last time before i remove it. (RCD kit will be goign on right after new years)
I first tried goign from the top i thought i would rather spend more time removing stuff then squeez up from the bottom and working blind. Well i ended up removed the intake, degas bottle, ficm and then got it from the bottom. |
