p0278 is the injector junk?

is that what this code means?, cylinder #6 contribution/balance. looking for any insight. the truck rough idles somtimes when i come to a stop.(shakes pretty bad) i usually have to gun it for awhile to clear it out. it did it worse on xtream street so i put it back to stock and it still does it.

It most likely needs an injector. But you should check your fuel pressure, ficm voltages, and you can at the bare minimum inspect the wiring harness for chaffing. I like to current ramp the injectors with my osciliscope but you can use a meter if you want to check voltage to the injector. But yes it probly needs an injector.

fuel pressure is good 58psi i just replaced the ficm about two months ago. what should the voltage be? and what side is the number 6 injector on? ill probably just end up replacing it. thanks for replying to wewillie!

48V 20A. The number 6 is on the driver side second one from the back.

No problem, glad to help out hopefully it works for ya!! But like i said before most of the time it will need an injector, but sometimes its something else.
