This started as an occasional squeak when I turned the a/c on. The belt looks great so I figured I'd check the tensioner. What a horrible design! Anyway, I think mine is frozen and needs replaced. So I decide to remove the tensioner and "work on it" a bit. That's when I checked the handy belt routing guide under the hood, and I swear I'm missing a pulley or something. Can anyone tell from the pics if I am missing a pulley under the alternator?
Thanks for the assist! |

Well it's not really missing, that is a general design placard you just do not have that other component. It is an option thing if I remember right air/vac pump or something like that. Personally I have never worked on one that had that other component whatever it is.
