That'd be related to an over-boost condition, turbo related problem not a tuner.

My goal is to find out who had problems directly related to their tune.

Man I figured all the members who blew their gaskets would bother voting, but they're MIA.

Just traded my '06 in. 2nd long distance trip with a major failure. 1st was turbo. 2nd head gaskets. Both times in tow mode on Predator Diablo tuner and cruising at 70mph. Not even 13,000 miles. Pissed, but like the new F 450 and it doesn't need the tune.

You know I don't think it really has to do with the tuners. These motors should be able to handle atleast 38lbs of boost with no problem. Its all in how the motor is put together. If ford would have used the correct torq spec in the first place most of the gasket problems more than likley would not have happend.I mean think about it If a head bolt isn't streached to its spec and you put alot of presure on them they will strech some more there for lifting the head off of the block just enough to blow the head gasket.Thats why ford came out with the new torq spec because this was even happening on stock trucks. So in all reallity I don't believe it is the tuner. Its ford (well not ford, ford engine supplier)

And yes I do run banks.yes it is installed but ever since I had it fixed under warranty and the right ford machanic have no problems runns great with banks still on it.All under warranty because the machanic new that this was also happening on stock trucks. And he didn't just replace gaskets he put new heads on it also.Alot of them probably put the same heads back on thats why you have this prob. more than once

I have no doubt that the people at Ford were trying to shift the blame to the tuner for a bad head gasket design. The next truck they're not getting that excuse. (At least not for the first couple of years.) I plan on really driving the heck out of this one and they better be ready for the repairs! LOL

There have been failures on stock trucks, but tuners increase the likelyhood of failure. Your cylinder pressures are higher when tuned!

Especially the hot tunes, so I just want to get as much info as I can. If you've had a failure and you were running a tune, please post the details.
Thanks!!

I'd vote, but my gaskets blew before I had a tuner. Pure stock and it blew.
