truck died twice while stopping and accelerating. And front end vibration.
Three days ago my wrench light came on for the limp home mode! Took it for a 800 mile road trip and it did fine until the last 60 miles then it died on me twice while coming to a stop light. it would restart right away and take off!! i just had the FICM replaced 3 months ago i have had head gaskets replacedtwo years ago. The front end has a vvibration from 50 - 85 mph!! i have had ball joints done new tie rod and pitman arms, new tires, new wheel bearings, andstill the same problem. I quit using my bullydog 7 months ago. every so often i smell diesel exhaust in the cab. I hear wind seeping through the driver side door too. I am dealing with alot of stuff here guys so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i found out why it was dying. I have an AFE stage 2 intake i added on it has a hole with a rubber grommet for the battery cable to go through with the vibration the grommet worked its way out and chaffed the battery cable so it was shorting out on the metal box my intake sits in. Thats what was causing it to die so check your battery cables for chaffing. Still can't find my vibration i think it is driveline or rear end now. had to replace the middle carrier bearing on my driveline but that still didn't help with the vibration.

Check your tires on the front for balance; wheel warpage; belt turnig; uneven pressures;
etc. Also look at the harmonic balancer on the motor check if it looks like anything wrong with the rubber. |
