White smoke and knocking! :(

I have an '03 6.0L that only has 60,000 miles on it.

The other day, the truck lost power and was blowing white smoke. The motor started knocking, so I had the truck towed.

The white smoke smells like diesel.
The oil level is fine, but smells like diesel.
Coolant level is fine.
Truck starts, but sounds like knocking. Hydrolocking possibly?

Injector problem?

Good call on shutting it down, sounds like you've lost an injector tip

Hook it up to a scan tool and check for codes. It sounds like you have an injector stuck open. Just had a 7.3 in our shop like that last week. Sounded like it was ready to throw a rod it was knocking so loud.

Also, yeah...it sounds like it's about to throw a rod. Loudest knocking I've ever heard form a motor.
