Low RPM Chugging

I just turned 100k miles on the truck. Its stock and has a brand new turbo on it. When I sit at a stop light for a few mins then want to take off the truck chuggs and blows out black smoke. It will pick back up and run normal but does this once you sit at a stop light for a couple mins. Whats the deal? Thanks for the help.

Either the EGR valve or the VGT vanes are stuck w/carbon build up. Just stomp on it every now and then to keep the vanes from sticking.

Victory!

Went out and bought an EGR, figured I'm getting my moneys worth out of the "land yacht" as my friend calls it at 125,000 miles. Pulled the old one out, OMG it looked like a black plug! The top ports were completely clogged; picked everything I could reach out of the manifold and vacuumed out.

Ran like a champ, no hesitation, responsive and no smoke!
