TECH's Stuck ipr?

Looking for a second opion any techs agree
I have a 2006 6.0 with 240km in my shop it was bought at a auction last week and now will not start I checked for icp pressure with a gauge and got200psi so I started looking for a leak suspecting stc or rail plugs leaking so I fitted shop air to the icp sensor location and jumped the ipr and heard no leaks hooked my gauge back up and cranked with the ipr jumped and got 3000psi i noticed the date on the ficm of july 24\09 also the icp ipr egr valve and egr cooler look all new so i hooked everything up and tried it and it ran fine test drove and all was good I noticed some good chafes in the harness so I figured that moving the harness had made a conection and was going to order one in the morning but then later on I tryed to start it and no start so i retraced my steps wiggling the harness etc nothing then i jumped the ipr and hooked it back up and then it started leading me to belive that the ipr is sticking and the voltage spike worked it free and replacing it will solve my problem.
Also the last tech did a back yard job there was many bolts and clips missing harness routed incorectly etc and conectors broken on 2 injectors is there a harness kit for the injector or do I need to order 2 injectors to fix
Thanks

As far as I know these hard shell connectors are not available from FOMOCO. so you're buying an injector? or if you could round up some cores, snip the ends off and solder/shrink tube. as far as your other issue, you need a scanner to see which one of the eleven plus miracles are missing during a no start, otherwise your tossing expensive parts on a hunch, lol

i just took a set of jumpers from the battery directly to the ipr and gave it a 12volt supply for a few seconds

How did the screen on the end of the IPR look? Also if you can get the connector ends from ford, you can just pull the pins out and insert them into the new connector shell, not sure if they are available though. I'll check the parts department today.

The screen was broke and full of crap thats why I replaced the pump and thats what was causing it stick.

Not to sure what you mean by using just the new connector shell? but having a spare conector to use to jump it would be simpler

How did you determine that the HPOP was bad? I had a blown screen on the IPR caused by crap going through a ripped HPO filter. I had cleaned the HPOP res and I think I loosened up some sludge in the passage going to the pump. Then about 600miles later the screen on the ipr went and a piece of the screen acually jammed the ipr valve.
