Starts hard
last spring when it was still a little cold like 40's and 50's if the truck sat for a while it would have to crank for a while before it would start i was thinking glow plugs but the truck is an 07 and even if 1 was bad you would think it wouls still start pretty easy cause it's not even that cold out, i wanna figure this out before winter comes. The wait to start light still comes on and goes off like normal. so any input would be appreciated before i start tearing it apart thanks

Have you gone to the dealer to have the cold start flash preformed? Not sure when it came out, but it helped me for awhile then I had a couple injectors fall out.
One way to tell is when you shut down do you hear a soft ticking/clatter sound that could be injectors? If so you need the flash. Can't think of other ways to tell off hand. If you go the dealer that can tell you if its been done or not, mine was done for free but this was my 3rd visit for hard cold starts. |
