Gotta Vent
Ok, so after taking my truck in twice before with a no start when hot condition (34k and 35k miles), the dealership was finally able to diagnose and fix the problem. Low HPOP pressure due to failed o-rings. Here's the kicker-The second time I brought it in, I gave the service writer a copy of the TSB's that were for this condition so that they could fix my dam problem! This time though, when I brought my truck in, it had 38,000 miles and they still charged me the $100 deductible! This despite the fact that the prior two times it was within the warranty mileage. I was PO'd and complained to two service managers, but to no avail.
It is obvious that this company does not care about people. For $100 and incompetence, they lost a customer!:censord: As I was steaming outside waiting to pick up my truck, a young couple were picking up their Expedition and were commenting to each other that "...at least 'Mel Clayton Ford' washed your vehicle before giving it back to you." Whatever you do, don't get your car serviced at Sunset Ford in Peoria, AZ!!! :nono:

Dude, I could have told you that... Do business with Sanderson Ford over on 51st and Maryland...
By they way, they washed the truck before I took possession of it... I bought the maintenance package and take to their "quick lube" over by the service department... Never takes more then about 30 mins to get the scheduled maintenance done... Ken.... |

No lack of lousy dealers out there, It's almost like the pray on people. Phone in to Ford and lay a complaint on them, and do the same with the BBB. No way they should charge you for something they already fixed twice.

o5 models have had that problem since came out ,crank and run good cold either cut off or wont restart hot ,there is a updated part for this problem with a new bracket to keep fitting at back of pump still so it doesnt ruin o-ring again

Thanks, guys
Hey, Scott, that sounds like what they did, because my sheet has a bracket on the parts listing. Oh and is it unusual to have a noticeable increase in power after this fix? I'm definitely feeling an improvement.
Straycat, my wife's on this one; she's one mean Beeyatch when it comes to stuff like this. She's filing a complaint with the BBB and is trying to get a conversation with the owner/GM of the dealership. Heat! Why didn't you warn me? I'm guessing I could have asked before assuming, huh? First few times I was trucking over to Ford of North Scottsdale, but that's too far out of the way. Next time, I'll take it to Sanderson. I've never heard a bad thing about them! |

BBB is a good thing, but I tried that on Unique Truck and SUV in Scottsdale. They apparantly didn't care and did nothing about my problem. So the BBB filed a bad report for them, but that is all they can really do. I still don't have a fix for my problem and my truck continues to be a high dollar lawn ornament, just as it has been for 2 MONTHS!!!
