Catalytic Converter
Anyone have any problems with the catalytic converter? I have 2006 6.0 stroke with 102,000 miles and I would like to upgrade to a banks exhaust. Banks does not have a kit with a converter delete. I was wondering how long would a catalytic converter last (miles). Do they plug up? Anyone have any problems?

I also have a 2006 and was looking at steping up to a 4in turbo/back with a cat delete. I know the cat puts a big restriction on the exhaust which raises egts. I was also woundering would a cat delete throw any codes

Take that cat and toss it in the garbage or take it down to the recycle place and get a few bucks for it. It doesn't throw a code to take it off and will run a lot better, get you lower egts, and better fuel economy.

Magnaflow and MBRP make kits with cat deletes.

you can take it off, punch out the honey comb, and put it back on.

cut the ends off, gut the inside, punch a 4"pipe thru it reweld the ends

Don't you lose some low end torque when you take the converter off? How about drone when pulling at highway speeds, is there a muffler that you guys recommend that eliminates drone at highway speeds without the cat?
