Puking white smoke... EGR COOLER?

was leaving home depot last night and my truck started puking white smoke so i pulled over and shut it off. Started it back up and limped it to my buddies house a few miles away. I figured it had to be coolant, first thought was a head gasket but the truck wasnt overheating at all. So my next conclusion is the egr cooler i noticed a small puff of white smoke on startup the other morning to. Ive got to get this thing fixed asap because im in the navy and my leave is up on monday.....

I will assume you mean POURING white smoke and not puking?

If this is the case, in most cases thats an EGR cooler failure.

i would have you guys do it but i dont have turn around time, have to have mine on the road by friday, i have my great grandpas funeral. Overnighted one from river city so hopefully ill be back on the road. Me and my old man put a presure tester on the ressi and it was bleeding presure prety bad. Took the egr valve out and seen quite a bit of moisture down in the intake. Any good ideas on how to clean some of that soot and carbon out of the intake?

oooo.... i know ive been talking on here for a while about how ive been having low power and my turbo was surging quite a bit. Could have the bad egr cooler been the culprit???

there is no delay, we ship you modded (clean)parts, you ship the core parts back..there would be no delay, we could have shipped next day aswell.

yep bad egr can do that. Also while your are at it, when you delete the EGR Cooler and valve, take the time to clean out the intake. Will help out also.

be careful on the intake bolts when putting back together, they can break easily.
