yea, picked up a haynes manual at autozone last night while i was there, has all the tourqe specs for most of those parts, i think it was only like 8ft/lbs for the intake bolts.

also when you have 8ft/lbs spec you probably want to use an inch /lb tq wrench and convert to get a more accurate spec. Most ft/lb tq wrenches don't go below 10-15 ft lbs.

yea, my snapon wrench goes down to 5ft/lb. I just did the conversion from inch lbs to ft lbs with a calc... Got it all finised up this afternoon and everything is gravy except for where the up pipes conect to the turbo, cant get it to seal corectly and it has a slight leak... sounds like a damn tea kettle wen under full throtle

could be your injector #8 my friend was pourin white smoke and it was the injector #8.

Loosen the up pipes where they meet the y-pipe, then tighten the y-pipe first, then the up-pipes.

good idea... ill try that next time im home. dont really have the tools down here in va to do it. For now i went and got some header wrap and wraped that whol joint where it conects and it helped tons...

new development though, i know my egr cooler had to have been bad because i seen moisture in the intake when i did the delete. But now that everything is said and done the truck is still smoking, mainly at idle and when i take off. i had possible thoughts of it maybe being an injector issue. The smoke is a mix between white/grey/blue. Ive also been feeling sort of a vibration through my floorboard for about a month now and the truck doesnt idol so great anymore.

how long has it been since you replaced the egr?? how bad was it blown. It can take several hundred miles for them to clear up...

i did the delete thur/friday last week. I figured that it would take a while to burn it off but what i cant explain is the miss im feeling in the engine. The smoke has a bluish tinge to it.... if its ressidue i wouldnt think it would be smoking as bad as it is. im gona keep diggin.

checked your basics? Air, fuel filters? Oil change? Checked base fuel pressure?

air is good, filters are clean, put in a new oil filter when i did the egr delete, oil is clean... how do you check the fuel pressure?
