small oil slobber at charge air cooler
Good Morning,
I have seen some evidence of a small amount of oil/blackness at the connections from turbo outlet to charge air cooler tube. How much if any should be considered o.k. ? thanks |

It is from the crank case vent. Some see more than others. One thing you may try is to pull the tubes and the boots and clean it all real good. It helps to take some sand paper and just scuff the tubes a tad where the boot slides over. Reinstall and you should be fine. One thing you can do which is not nessasary is a CCV mod which basicaly rerouts the vent else where and drips oil. or you can rerout the vent thru a canaster than back thru the intake.
