yea, this is getting ridiculous. I'm trying to troubleshoot my truck off the forum and there's so many things to check for such a simple symptom. I'm starting to think maybe I'd be better off finding a 7.3 and sticking it under the hood.

I believe it was about $140. There's a million wires going into it so I'm sure you'd need the right computer to tell if it's bad or not.

I found the same thing with these trucks. There's so many things that can go wrong that you're better of sucking up the $100 or so to have a shop do their diagnostics thing. Now if only I can find an honest shop in the area.... Or even the state. I'm not sure they exist any more.

wow, 100$ would have been great. my last one was 250! and that was to tell me it had EGR codes, no ****e, the egr was unplugged. they didnt do a contribution, buzz nothing. just pulled codes. I bought an AE for my laptop for 300 overnighted and scan it myself now.

So, my update, my truck took long to crank over after the glow plug light went out. No smoke, no rough running. Got told it was my batteries. Since I just bought the truck I figured it be beneficial to replace both, that way I know they are good. Had them replaced, Die Hard Gold series. And it starts beautiful now. But id figure to give and update on my status for other people

I had the same problem took it to Ford and they reprogrammed the FICM, ECm, and TCM with the Latest Ford Inductive Heat flash program basically it allows the injector spolls to rattle longer after that my truck cranks fine !!!!!!!!!!!!!
