Motor may be done...

Yep, I'll know for sure in the next few days, but I'm thinking that my motor may be toast at 132,000. i've been chasing my tail apparently trying to figure this thing out. In the process of elimination, I figured I would go ahead and do the CCV mod. I wish I had done it earlier . Its blowing a steady stream of white smoke out of the tube that I ran from the ccv. Not just a little puff, but a steady stream, I can hold my hand at the end of it and the smoke blows against my hand and swirls everywhere. I had our whole yard smoked out in about 2 or 3 minutes just idling.

I got on the horn with Deriek from Outlaw Diesel who agreed that I need to do a compression test and maybe a leakdown test to isolate which cylinder it is. I have a leakdown tester that we use in our shop on small engines (kohler & kawasaki lawn mower engines) and figured I would put it to work on the diesel. Anyone know what the threads are on the glow plugs. I figured I'd use the GP hole as my test port for each cyl.

Any other advise on stuff to check before I write this thing off and start pullin a motor?

Its a mix of combustion gas and oil vapor. The smoke is coming from the crankcase vent... Combustion gas is somehow getting past the rings and down into the crankcase and is blowing out through the vent with whatever oil gets atomized in the process.
