a.c blowing out of my defrost only? help

My sofl seems to be working ok and I have checked for vacum leaks when i turn the and listen under the hood to see if i can hear the vacum pump I hear nothing. If vacum pump is bad would my 4x4 still work

Put a gauge on it and see how much you are pulling. If you are showing vacuum, hook up a pump to the control lines and be sure the actuators are functioning. I'm not sure about the 4x4 question though.

same thing happened to me Wednesday, The vacum pump took a dump and had to be replaced

mine did the same thing a couple weeks ago.
check the actuator solinoid on the left side of the intake mani, make sure the 1/4 line is still connected.
