turbo/power loss intermittently
my truck starts and runs fine, out of no where for no consistent reason it losses power at all different speeds it will come to somewhat of an idle the turbo pressure drops and black smoke will come out the exhaust, if you keep the pedal pressed it will come out of it a few seconds later turbo will come back up and run just fine. i have the 38 gallon tank and have gone through 3/4 of tank in about 200 miles. i usually can get 560 miles out of tank. there are no lights on my dash. does anyone have any ideas what this could be.
thank you in advance. |

My guess is the variable vanes in the turbo are sticking. Your vanes and plate are coked up prolly.
