algae in fuel system

I was at the Ford dealer the other day and overheard a service writer telling someone on the phone that he needed to bring his 05 psd in to have the something in the fuel system tested for algae. Is there a recall or tsb for something like this?

no there is no recall. if you have water in your fuel it can grow alge and actually get bugs in it. i have seen it not good thing. clogs up your filters fast
