I have a 2004 6.0 lift crew with 37" tires what are the best upgrades for my truck to make dependable. I bought the truck with 95000 miles on it. This is my first diesel so any info would help. Thank you.

EGR delete is one of the best upgrades you can do to a 6.0.

It will save you time money and headaches in the long run.

You can also add a larger free flowing exhaust system, and a SCT tuner for a bit more power.

If you haven't done it yet get a edge cts insight digital gauges. This is one of the most important things you need to do. This will let you keep an eye on your vitals of your truck. A Sct tuner will definitly help but if you don't have head studs I would be extremely carful about running a tuner. Stock head bolts are the biggest problems with these 6.0 and when you start running all that extra power you run into the problem of stretching out your head bolts and blowing head gaskets.

I agree with above, egr delete first, fresh oil changes, (i do mine every 3k),coolant filtration system, upgraded fuel press regulator spring. I wouldnt add any tunes to a stock motor without studs and factory tty headbolts. I tow 1 ton duallies all the time with the above improvements and she has plenty of torque and pulling power.,and she is reliable. 4.88's help !
