Puff of black smoke at start up?

I turned my truck on today standing on the pass side and noticed a puff of black smoke on start up? im running x-street and 03 turbo and turbo back exhaust. is black smoke at start up normal? everything seems to be fine and no codes? might be a crazy questions, but i have never noticed it before......

perfectly normal. Every straight piped truck does it. Surprised you never noticed it.

mine dosen't do it but i am stock tuned right now. all i get is some white smoke when first start in the morning but i think my cooler is goin deleting soon.

To clarify: It's normal for a chipped straight piped truck. Mine does it too, but only in my 140 tune.

ok so if its not normal, what causes it? truck runs fine and no codes. just noticed it since i reloaded my x-street, but might have been doing it the entire time noticed it today.
