keep trying...Put the tranny in N, shift it out of 4 low. Then back up down the drive or road a few feet.

Unhappy same prob

i had the exact same problem. i was driving down the road (2wd), and pulled over for a minute, everything was fine. then to get back on the road i had to splash through some mud. so i switched to 4hi on my shift on the fly, then got through the mud, and when i switched back to 2wd, the 4x4 light stayed on. i thought, eh,....its a glitch, no biggie. it stayed on the whole way home, it was all freeway driving too, anywho,.... got home just fine, and decided to mess with it. my brilliant buddy sugessted go to 4lo and then back up to 2wd. now its stuck in 4lo and and all it wants to do is crawl up the side of a damn house!!!! or tear the axels off some chevys!!! any thoughts? or experiances? i read somewhere else it was a 4x4 circut board issue. possibly got wet and fried, or the seal gasket was rotted, and the circut was wet. any help pls!!! im lost.
